What is a birth philosophy?A birth philosophy is how you think about birth, and how you believe a woman can work through labor.
There are so many voices telling women what the “perfect birth” looks like. As a doula, I desire to support, educate and equip women to bring their babies into the world. I believe that babies are a precious gift and that what works for the birth of each child is unique. I aim to support each birth through its own twists, turns, and challenges. I listen to the mother's wants and needs during labor. I look for ways to help and teach the partner to support the mother. At the end of the day, I want you to have evidence-based information, and make a choice that works best for you and your family. Know your options, and have support. I spend a large amount of time talking through optimal fetal positioning with my clients. Working on getting your little one into a good position is key. Going through any life change is made easier when you have people walking alongside you. My role is to walk with you, support you, and rejoice with you as your child is born. |
"Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born I set you apart."
